Thoughts on Shelter/Rant

For some godamn reason many people have sent me requests to review the recent animation music video anime (or whatever the fuck it is) Shelter. Now this makes absolutely no sense since I mostly review still images on Deviantart but whatever. Something about this recent uprising in popularity over the anime clusterfuck known as 'Shelter' has gotten me irrationally pissed off. Maybe it's because people won't shut up about it and telling me to review it even though I simply do not review that kind of shit. Or maybe it's because I really don't think that 'Shelter' is all that great. 

First off I will have to say for a music video (especially an animated music video) it has exceptional visuals and animation. That's pretty much it's strongest point and probably the thing it should be praised for. But for some godamn reason people seem to be so incredibly awestruck by its......."story"..........and........"feels."

Okay like 1 major think I would like to point out is if this science dad dude knew the world was ending and was building a space ship why in the FUCK would he build a spaceship that is the only hope for mankind with ONE fucking person in it to rot in space and play Minecraft (the virtual reality tablet thingy) for the rest of their lives. That seems really fucking pointless. Like really???? You couldn't think to make the spaceship have room for one more person to reproduce for fucks sake?????

Anyway had to get that off my chest. 

As for the "feels" which seems to be the only thing anyone cares about. "OMG the feels!!!" "Wow I am like literally crying." "Wow the feels!!!" Okay congrats but I can't believe people are so fucking easy to influence. Okay first off we have virtually nothing to connect to this character besides a few baby cut scenes and being a typical anime girl. Great. And then the world ends and they are in virtual reality in space and they are lonely. Cool. Oh wait I mean--- OMG ITS LEIK SO SAD 

MMMMM GREAT. 

Now like this isn't the best most in depth review of this cartoon, most of this is just for lols, and I might delete this journal in an hour cause I don't like getting so many annoying comments sometimes but yeah. In summary:

For an anime clusterfuck music video it's pretty great. 

For an in depth, interesting, emotionally impacting, video....not so great. 

So stop treating it like one. Seriously there have been petitions to make "Shelter" into a full series.

WHAT? WHY?????

It's just a music video with higher than average visuals for fucks sake we don't need an entire series out of everything that has a bit of quality to it GOD. 

Anyway hopefully you will stop bugging me about "Shelter" now.
